A bit of a rest day before we head out onto our Hu Long Bay cruise tomorrow. We did a few walks and enjoyed watching the amazing traffic. Intersections are a true marvel, and we are not sure how there are no accidents witnessed as yet. However, our lonely planet book mentions that there are 11 000 deaths and a further 30 000 serious injuries per year on Vietnam roads. We have seen up to five people on a moped (several times), and massive loads of various construction items on others. And they all weave in and out of cars, people and other mopeds without issue. And never any apparent road rage. We checked out a Soviet tank and Mig fighter jet at the war museum. It was credited with shooting down 14 US fighter jets in the American War (or the Vietnam War as we know it).
