Our last Aussi sunset for a while |
Our last day in Australia. What a great experience, seeing friends, making new friends, and loving the ocean. Today started with us heading over to the Darwin Museum, and learning about Cyclone Tracy that wiped out Darwin on Christmas Day in 1974. Even included an actual recording of the sound of the cyclone, very erie. We then walked over to the outdoor wave pool at the waterfront. Now that is a wave pool, and three hours were quickly eaten up. To end off the fun part of the day, we headed back to the Mindil Beach market for supper. Our walk back had us see the largest bat we have ever seen in real life, and then had the joy of it flying over our heads for awhile. Cindy greatly enjoyed that experience.
Now for the long stretch of boredom. We arrived at the airport at 9 pm, and waited for check in at 2 am, and our flight to leave at 4:10 am.
