I think I have the driving thing figured out here

Tuesday, June 13
Up early this morning and took a private vehicle from Hue to Hoi An.  On route, our driver gives us a bit of a tour on route.  We drive within only 10 km of the Laos border and the drive is very scenic, passing by Lang Ko.  This is the area around the front lines in the American War in Vietnam.  We look at an American bunker and my attempts to engage our driver in some discussion about the war does not produce much feedback.  His parents were from the South, so I believe the chances are good that the outcome of the war was not good for his family.
Hot sand!
During the drive, I start picking up on the driving rules, and here they are as far as I can see (they drive on the right side of the road as we do):
1. vehicles get the left lane and motocycles get the right lane
2. drive in the left lane and pass down the right side, honking at the motocycles to get out of the way
3. drive in a straight line and everyone will avoid you
4. if you can merge ever so slightly into traffic, then it is up to everyone else to avoid you
5. bigger has the right away
6. have courage
Seems easy enough, but will not be attempting on this trip as I am sure there are some other rules in the mix that I have seen but not been able to figure out.
