Drive from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. Buy our tickets to the Angkors and go out and see Angkor Wat before having to leave due to a massive rain. There are monkeys at Angkor Wat, and they do not take kindly to people trying to reclaim the food they steal. Boys keep their distance. Siem Reap is a far bigger centre than we were imagining. You can pay to sit with your feet in huge aquariums and have the fish eat your dead skin, as we did at the waterfall in Luang Prabang. The pub scene is alive and well here, and understandably as there are a ton of young western tourists. The locals are very polite, and although they are looking for a sale, not like in Vietnam.
